Franca Kraenzlin, MD, is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon whose clinical focus is on hand surgery, peripheral nerve, and extremity reconstruction. Dr. Kraenzlin has expertise in treating peripheral nerve injuries, hand and wrist injuries, arthritis, and lower extremity soft tissue defects. She has a particular interest in improving upper limb function for patients with nervous system disorders or trauma that result in spasticity or paralysis.
She earned a medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed her residency training in integrated plastic surgery at the Johns Hopkins and University of Maryland combined program. She pursued hand, upper extremity and microvascular fellowship training at the University of Maryland Medical Center/R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
